My "to-go-to" Places in South Korea, Part 1

When I became a Kpop fan, my initial dream of going to South Korea was based on the fact that I might get a chance to see the K-idols that I adored so much. Time passed and I was introduced to Korean Dramas. Now we all watch Korean dramas and we all know a lot about South Korea from just that. We get introduced to the culture, language, people and different places around South Korea. Continuously being exposed to that my interest in South Korea as a country really intensified. Now I don't wish to go to South Korea because I want to see those Korean Idols (I do wish that I get a chance to tho) but because I want to  explore the beautiful country. I think it has a perfect blend of Korean traditions and culture with a hint of western style. I love a place with greenery and nature all around but at the same time I want to live in the cities with modern ways of life and I think we get both in South Korea.

Here's a list of places that are on my "To-go-to" list when I visit South Korea. *not a complete list, check out my blog for more*

1- N. SEOUL TOWER

This has to be my favorite of all. The N.Seoul tower typically known as the Namsan Tower or Seoul Tower is an observation tower that marks the second highest point in Seoul. It has multiple entertainment spots like Cafe, Alive museum, Children's theater, Restaurant, Wishing pond, photo studio, Grass terrace, Souvenir Shop, the Observatories, Revolving restaurant etc etc. We can the whole of Seoul from the top. I can't imagine how beautiful it must look at night. We can take the cable car to the top of the tower.

2- Gyeongbokgung Palace

Also known as Gyeongbok Palace is the largest of Five Grand Palaces that were built by the Joseon Dynasty that served as the home of the Kings. Built in 1395 and located in the northern Seoul. Gyeingbokgung entry is located at 22 Sajik-no, Jongno-gu. What's a better place to get the sight of the Korean history and culture than here.

3- Lotte World

Lotte World again is one of the must-go places. Opened on july 12, 1989 located in Sincheon-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It is open all year long without holidays.
Lotte World consists of the world's largest indoor theme park *yayeee*, and has an outdoor amusement park called "Magic Island", shopping malls, Korean folk museum, sports facilities and more. Opening time: 9am-11pm

4- Bukchon Hanok Village

My absolute favourite *i feel like i'm saying that for all lmao*. Bukchon contains around 900 traditional Korean houses called Hanok. As a fan of the Korean architecture, it is the best place to visit and get a glimpse of the historical world. It is surrounded by Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine. Today these Hanoks operate ad tea houses, restaurants and guesthouses. *heart heart* I just feel like running to Korea right now and live in one of these as I type.

5- Nami Island

For an escape from the city life, to find tranquility within the nature, Nami Island is a beautiful place to be. Surrounded my animals, walk along the old rail tracks and long pine tree lanes. It is so beautiful and a popular shooting location of Kdramas. We can stop by the Nami Island Sonata Cafe for a treat or two.

6- Cheonggyecheon Stream

It is a 8.4 km creek flowing west to east through downtown Seoul and goes to meet Jungnangcheon, which connects to the Han river. Cheonggyecheon stream passes along Deoksung Palace, Seoul Plaza, the Sejong Centre, Insadong, Changdeokgung Palace and Changgyeonggung Palace. People can visit these major tourist sites and enjoy a stroll along the beautiful stream.

so beautiful~

7- Han River

Also known as Hangang River is the fourth longest river on the Korean Peninsula. The river starts as two smaller rivers in the eastern mountains of the Korea Peninsula, which later converge near Seoul. It has total 27 bridges over it. My favorite being the Banpo bridge. Why do I like it? Because of the moonlight rainbow fountain which is the world's longest bridge fountain. The bridge has around 38 water pumps and 380 nozzles on either sides of the bridge which pump the water from he river and is recycled. When I go to Seoul I really wish to see the fountain.

Well these are just the basics that are a must for anyone who goes to South Korea, Seoul, but theres more than I want to see and want to visit. I'll be posting all about that soon. Till then, Annyeong~!!

bye bye~
