My "to-go-to" Places in South Korea, Part 2

So this is just a continuation of my previous post. Of course I've a lot of places that I want to see.
Besides the really popular, I also have a few places in my mind that might not be on everyone's list but I still believe they are pretty awesome so I need to share.

Let's start~~!!

1- ITAEWON AND MYEONGDONG

As a tourist, the two key things to do in a place is to eat and to shop till you drop. Itaewon is  an area that surrounds Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul and is popular for clubs, restaurants, bars and different shops that have a wide range of products selling everything from jewelry to furniture.
If I ever go to Seoul, i'll probably not bring anything with me cause once I step into Myeongdong, i'll probably go crazy when I see all these luxury brands all around me, so I'm gonna save for that. Myeongdong is a popular shopping districts that have a lot of retail stores both international and local for example Zara, H&M, Forever 21, Nature Republic, The Face Shop. There's so much to buy from here and so much to see. Its a paradise for all the fashionistas.

2- HONGDAE

Hongdae (also called, Hongik University Street) is located close by Hongik University. Since I'm only 21 right now and a person who has deep respect and interest in art and music, this is one of my favorite spots in my list. Hongdae is well known for its bars, cafe, urban street arts, underground musicians and nightlife area for the youth. Because Hongik University is near Hongdae, a university which is one of the top fine arts colleges, students from there have brighten up Hongdae with events like Street Art Exhibition, where students of the university and other artist come along to paint the streets of Hongdae and for performances. I believe it's one of the liveliest places to be at.

3- HONGDAE TRICK EYE MUSEUM

The Trick Eye Museum is a huge 3D optical illusion art exhibition. One can blend with the paintings and take photos, the results are so cool. It has a wonderland ice museum, carnival street, love museum, Kungfu cafe, mirror maze and more. There's so much to see here. It's open from 9am to 9pm.
Address: B2 Seogyo Plaza 20 Hongikro 3gil, Mapogu, Seoul

4- INSADONG

For culture lovers, this place is a must visit. To experience the historical to the modern Korean traditions and culture, this place has to be explored. Insadong is a well known traditional and cultural streets by locals. It has multiple tea houses, galleries, traditional restaurants, museum, shops that sell traditional stuff like clothes, furniture, ceramics etc.

5- DONGDAEMUN MARKET

It is a market near Dongdaemun which is divided into 5 shopping districts and a shopping town having around 26 shopping malls. It is a well known market where you can find all the trendy fabric, shoes and clothing as well as leather goods, sports goods, food, electronics and even fortune tellers. *cool!!* Dongdaemun is one of the top attractions for tourist and some shops here are open 24/7 so we can practically be here all day long. It is a huge area with a lot of attractions to see like the Heunginjimun Gate, Pyeonghwa Shopping Town, Dongdaemun Shopping Complex, and one of the most prominent landmark that is the Dongdaemun Plaza.

5- EVERLAND

Okay, the first time I heard about Everland, I was totally whooped for it. Everland is the largest theme park in South Korea. It is in the city of Gyeonggi actually. It is operated by Samsung S&T Corporation. It is divided into five zones: 1- Global Fair, It has shops and restaurants, its mainly a place for food. 2- Magic Land, it has buildings and rides like log fume, robot ride etc. 3- European adventures, is basically architecture that has a European style. My favorite to visit here is the Mystery Mansion where we can shoot the ghosts. *totally cool* 4- ZooTopia, land of the animals, there are animal shows, petting zoo, animal rides and more. 5- American Adventure, themes of American history are shown here. The Double Rock Spin is the main attraction at this portion of the park.
Everland is open from 10am to 10pm.

Top K-idol Faces

Koreans are beautiful. There I said it. So I decided to post about MY top favorite visuals of Kpop-Kdramas. These are those faces that are appreciated by fans but for some I think there visuals are not hyped up about as much as they deserve. Literally I feel like these faces can be kept in a museum exposed for the world to come and be amazed cause wow they are gorgeous.

Before I move on, let me tell you that I can think of a lot of idols who are beautiful. All of them are in fact. But these are my top in the list, this is totally my opinion.

So lets start:

1- KAI (EXO)

This face indeed does get a lot of appreciation. I feel like Kai has a drop dead WOW face. I mean beautiful seriously. He is sexy, cute and beautiful ALL at the same time. Also people tend to whitewash k-idols, GOD I will never understand why they do that. I feel like his skin tone really adds on to his beauty. Love it!!

wow~!

2- VERNON (SEVENTEEN)

To be very honest, Vernon inspired me to write this post because damn he is fine and I feel like people are sleeping on his face. I love Leonardo DiCaprio, and I do find a lot of resemblance in Vernon. His jawline can cut my hair. It is so perfect, absolutely beautiful face. I was looking for appropriate gifs and all I could do was gasp and wow at how handsome he is.

3- TIFFANY (SNSD)

Everytime beauty is being discussed in SNSD, people mostly talk about how pretty yoona is or taeyeon is etc etc but to me without a doubt Tiffany is one of the most beautiful kidols ever. Not only is she the prettiest now but I feel like she had the best face since debut. Plus side, she has the cutest smile of all.

4- NANA (AFTER SCHOOL)

I've got only one word to describe Nana. STUNNING.
JUST PLACE HER IN A MUSEUM ALREADY!!

5- JUNG HAE IN

I'm lately watching "Something in the rain" *a kdrama* and I swear I squeak like an idiot everytime Jung Hae In appears on the scream. That guy doesn't need to smile or frown or do anything to look good. He just is beautiful even when he is just breathing and not moving an inch. And whenever he does act cute or smile in the drama damn I die a little bit from the excessive feels exploding in me.

6- IRENE (RED VELVET)

The hype is all about Joy but Irene takes away the trophy for me. She is so intimidating, drop dead gorgeous. The elegance is killing.

7- LEE JONG SUK

I fell in love with him in the first five seconds of screen time he got in "Secret Garden". He instantly became a favorite. Then I watched his dramas and I realized he looks ten times more beautiful than he was the first time I saw him. I was jungshook! His lips are definitely his best feature.

8- SULLI

I love Sulli's soft features. Her makeup face is great but I feel her no makeup is just gorgeous. A true beauty~!! Her visuals are no joke.

My "to-go-to" Places in South Korea, Part 1

When I became a Kpop fan, my initial dream of going to South Korea was based on the fact that I might get a chance to see the K-idols that I adored so much. Time passed and I was introduced to Korean Dramas. Now we all watch Korean dramas and we all know a lot about South Korea from just that. We get introduced to the culture, language, people and different places around South Korea. Continuously being exposed to that my interest in South Korea as a country really intensified. Now I don't wish to go to South Korea because I want to see those Korean Idols (I do wish that I get a chance to tho) but because I want to  explore the beautiful country. I think it has a perfect blend of Korean traditions and culture with a hint of western style. I love a place with greenery and nature all around but at the same time I want to live in the cities with modern ways of life and I think we get both in South Korea.

Here's a list of places that are on my "To-go-to" list when I visit South Korea. *not a complete list, check out my blog for more*

1- N. SEOUL TOWER

This has to be my favorite of all. The N.Seoul tower typically known as the Namsan Tower or Seoul Tower is an observation tower that marks the second highest point in Seoul. It has multiple entertainment spots like Cafe, Alive museum, Children's theater, Restaurant, Wishing pond, photo studio, Grass terrace, Souvenir Shop, the Observatories, Revolving restaurant etc etc. We can the whole of Seoul from the top. I can't imagine how beautiful it must look at night. We can take the cable car to the top of the tower.

2- Gyeongbokgung Palace

Also known as Gyeongbok Palace is the largest of Five Grand Palaces that were built by the Joseon Dynasty that served as the home of the Kings. Built in 1395 and located in the northern Seoul. Gyeingbokgung entry is located at 22 Sajik-no, Jongno-gu. What's a better place to get the sight of the Korean history and culture than here.

3- Lotte World

Lotte World again is one of the must-go places. Opened on july 12, 1989 located in Sincheon-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It is open all year long without holidays.
Lotte World consists of the world's largest indoor theme park *yayeee*, and has an outdoor amusement park called "Magic Island", shopping malls, Korean folk museum, sports facilities and more. Opening time: 9am-11pm

4- Bukchon Hanok Village

My absolute favourite *i feel like i'm saying that for all lmao*. Bukchon contains around 900 traditional Korean houses called Hanok. As a fan of the Korean architecture, it is the best place to visit and get a glimpse of the historical world. It is surrounded by Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine. Today these Hanoks operate ad tea houses, restaurants and guesthouses. *heart heart* I just feel like running to Korea right now and live in one of these as I type.

5- Nami Island

For an escape from the city life, to find tranquility within the nature, Nami Island is a beautiful place to be. Surrounded my animals, walk along the old rail tracks and long pine tree lanes. It is so beautiful and a popular shooting location of Kdramas. We can stop by the Nami Island Sonata Cafe for a treat or two.

6- Cheonggyecheon Stream

It is a 8.4 km creek flowing west to east through downtown Seoul and goes to meet Jungnangcheon, which connects to the Han river. Cheonggyecheon stream passes along Deoksung Palace, Seoul Plaza, the Sejong Centre, Insadong, Changdeokgung Palace and Changgyeonggung Palace. People can visit these major tourist sites and enjoy a stroll along the beautiful stream.

so beautiful~

7- Han River

Also known as Hangang River is the fourth longest river on the Korean Peninsula. The river starts as two smaller rivers in the eastern mountains of the Korea Peninsula, which later converge near Seoul. It has total 27 bridges over it. My favorite being the Banpo bridge. Why do I like it? Because of the moonlight rainbow fountain which is the world's longest bridge fountain. The bridge has around 38 water pumps and 380 nozzles on either sides of the bridge which pump the water from he river and is recycled. When I go to Seoul I really wish to see the fountain.

Well these are just the basics that are a must for anyone who goes to South Korea, Seoul, but theres more than I want to see and want to visit. I'll be posting all about that soon. Till then, Annyeong~!!

bye bye~
